MEDITERRANEAN SEA (April 17, 2008) An MH-60S Seahawk attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 inserts a Tunisian boarding team by fast rope onto Landing Craft Utility (LCU 1659), attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 2, during Phoenix Express (PE) 2008. PE-08 is the third annual exercise in a long-term effort to improve regional cooperation and maritime security. The principal aim is to increase interoperability by developing individual and collective maritime proficiencies of participating nations, as well as promoting friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation. Exercises like PE-08 enable participants to advance information sharing which is crucial to maintaining a region free from transnational threats, as well as enhance capability to conduct multinational peacekeeping missions. Le marin tunisien a été tranféré sur la frégate Allemande F220 Hamburg pour le traiter de son appendicite.
Il s'agit d'une frégate anti-aérienne assez bien équipé et moderne. La FGS Hamburg (F220) à été mise sur cale chez Howaldtswerke à Kiel le 1er septembre 2000, lancée le 2 août 2002 et admise au service actif le 13 décembre 2004.

وزير الدفاع الوطني يؤدي زيارة إلى الأكاديمية البحرية بمنزل بورقيبة
أدى السيد عبد الكريم الزبيدي، وزير الدفاع الوطني، صباح يوم الثلاثاء 05 أفريل 2011 زيارة للأكاديمية البحرية بمنزل بورقيبة، واستمع بالمناسبة إلى عرض حول الهيكل التنظيمي لهذه المؤسسة التكوينية العسكرية العليا ووظيفتها ومناهج التدريس بها ومساهمتها في تأمين تكوين الكفاءات في اختصاص البحرية الوطنية والبحرية التجارية، فضلا عن آفاقها في مجال دعم البنى الأساسية وتعزيز التجهيزات والمعدات العلمية والبيداغوجية والرفع من طاقة الاستيعاب وتنويع شعب التكوين بها
وعبّر وزير الدفاع الوطني عن ارتياحه لما بلغته هذه المؤسسة من مستوى علمي رفيع ارتقى إلى المعايير الدولية حاثا القائمين عليها على مزيد بذل الجهد حتى تؤدي وظيفتها التكوينية والعلمية على الوجه الأكمل وتحقق أهدافها. كما أكد أن الوزارة حريصة على تطوير هذه المؤسسة على غرار نظيراتها العسكرية وتوفير حاجياتها
وطاف الوزير عبر مختلف أقسام الأكاديمية البحرية ومخابرها متعرفا على الطرق البيداغوجية والعلمية المعتمدة في تكوين التلامذة الضباط

Veiller à l’installation, au bon fonctionnement et à l’entretien des Établissements de Signalisations Maritimes (ESM) fixes et flottants qui sont environs 600 réparties sur les 1300 Km des côtes Tunisiennes.
Le navire est construie en pologne en 1998
