L’infanterie maritime américaine a choisi des armes qui équiperont de petits drones, les « RQ-7B shadow ».

La nature de la nouvelle arme est tenue secrète, mais on sait qu’elle est techniquement prête.

Le drone, armé de nouvelles munitions, sera essayé en Afghanistan. Mais avant le départ en mission, la marine américaine a l’intention dévoiler les armes choisis.

Cette version armée de Shadow facilite considérablement les procédures de transport. Et les militaires peuvent essayer de nouvelles armes sans restrictions.

Last Marines land, prepare to begin field training at African Lion 2012

AGADIR, Morocco -- Nearly 200 Marines from 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, arrived in Agadir, Morocco, April 7 to support the field training exercise portion of Exercise African Lion 2012.

Approximately 1,200 U.S. military personnel arrived in various regions of the Kingdom of Morocco to take part in the annual exercise, designed to improve interoperability and mutual understanding of each nation’s military tactics, techniques and procedures.

Marines of Battery M and Headquarters Battery will work beside Moroccan counterparts to conduct events such as small-arms weapons training, infantry tactics training, battle tank operations, combat engineering operations, artillery operations and light-armored reconnaissance training.


“All of these events will be bilateral with our Moroccan partners,” said Maj. Stephen Sarnecky, operations officer, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines. “We’re looking forward to seeing what the Marines and Moroccans can accomplish working side-by-side.”

The end result of this training will prepare participants to successfully conduct a mechanized, motorized, helo-born, combined arms assault.

The Marines said they look forward to this rigorous training schedule and learning about the Moroccan way of life.

"We all definitely look forward to liberty and getting the opportunity to get out and learn about the culture,” Lance Cpl. Michael Fisher said, a combat engineer with 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines. “I’m also excited to work with the Moroccan military and see how they operate.”

They will be assisted by Marines from 4th Combat Engineering Battalion, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Battalion, 24th Marine regiment infantrymen, 4th Combined Anti-Armor Team and 4th Marine Logistics Group, along with multiple sub-units.

“It’s pretty amazing, considering we’ve taken reservists from all across the United States and combined them to ensure this event is successful,” Sarnecky said.

Après une escale au Pirée, en Grèce, le porte-avions nucléaire USS Enterprise a quitté la Méditerranée pour gagner la mer Rouge, via le canal de Suez. Le bâtiment, qui est depuis le 3 avril dans la zone de responsabilité de la 5ème flotte américaine, va gagner l'océan Indien et le golfe Persique, où il doit relever l'USS Carl Vinson et opérer avec un autre groupe aéronaval emmené par l'USS Abraham Lincoln. Parti le 11 mars de Norfolk pour son ultime déploiement avant son retrait du service actif, le « Big E », qui embarque près de 70 avions et hélicoptères, est accompagné du croiseur lance-missiles USS Vicksburg, ainsi que des destroyers lance-missiles USS Nitze, USS Porter et USS James E. Williams.

Une admission au service actif, un désarmement et une commande de nouveau bâtiment... Il y a du mouvement dans la flotte des garde-côtes américains. Le 31 mars, le Stratton, troisième des huit nouveaux cotres du type NSC (National Security Cutter) a été admis au service actif. Il rejoint les Bertholf et Waesche, entrés en service en 2008 et 2010. Longs de 127.4 mètres pour un déplacement de 4300 tonnes en charge, ces bâtiments peuvent franchir 12.000 nautiques à 9 noeuds. Armés d'un canon de 57mm, quatre mitrailleuses de 12.7mm et un système Phalanx, ils peuvent embarquer deux hélicoptères. Concomitamment à l'arrivée du Stratton, un ancien cotre du type Hamilton, le Dallas, a été désarmé (il devrait être cédé aux Philippines). Deux bâtiments de cette classe, dont 12 exemplaires ont été réalisés pour l'US Coast Guard, ont déjà été désarmés,. Il s'agit des ex- Thunder et ex-Chase, transférés depuis au Nigéria et aux Philippines.

USS Independence departs for San Diego

Littoral combat ship USS Independence (LCS 2) steams through the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida. Sailors from Independence's Gold Crew and embarked Mine Countermeasures, Detachment 1 are underway for the ship's maiden voyage to San Diego after successfully completing testing on the MCM mission package.9th April 2012

1510 milliards de dollars. C'est le chiffre avancé par les services du secrétaire américain à la Défense concernant le coût global, pour les Etats-Unis, du programme F-35, qui doit voir l'acquisition, par l'US Air Force, l'US Navy et l'US Marine Corps de 2443 appareils. Une somme énorme qui, depuis une quinzaine de jours, fait couler beaucoup d'encre de l'autre côté de l'Atlantique, mais aussi dans les pays devant se doter du nouvel avion de combat. Jamais, jusqu'ici, un tel coût n'avait été avancé par l'administration américaine concernant ce programme, dont on savait déjà qu'il serait le plus cher de l'histoire. Bien que le Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) soit marqué par d'indéniables retards et dépassements budgétaires, Lockheed-Martin, qui porte industriellement le programme, a tenu a nuancer les dernières révélations du Pentagone. L'avionneur rappelle, ainsi, que les 1510 milliards avancés par l'administration compilent l'ensemble des coûts liés au programme (développement, construction, exploitation, modernisation et maintenance) sur une période de 55 ans. Lockheed-Martin ajoute que dans les précédentes estimations du Pentagone, notamment dans un rapport de 2010, la facture liée au développement, actuellement de 396 milliards de dollars, n'était pas comprise.

Pour moi se sont les green berets,ses gars là se sont des dures,pure et dure,rustique et capable de remplir toute les missions,il y a aussi les navy seals qui sont très costaud,mais cela ne fait pas d'eux des surhommes,bien au contraire,la plus part du temps se sont des gens qui ont l'esprit tranquille et zen,qui ne cherche pas la merde,et non des suicidaires comme l'ont voient des dans les films hollywoodien,:lol:
