MEDITERRANEAN SEA (April 17, 2008) An MH-60S Seahawk attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 inserts a Tunisian boarding team by fast rope onto Landing Craft Utility (LCU 1659), attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 2, during Phoenix Express (PE) 2008. PE-08 is the third annual exercise in a long-term effort to improve regional cooperation and maritime security. The principal aim is to increase interoperability by developing individual and collective maritime proficiencies of participating nations, as well as promoting friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation. Exercises like PE-08 enable participants to advance information sharing which is crucial to maintaining a region free from transnational threats, as well as enhance capability to conduct multinational peacekeeping missions. ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 19, 2007) - Spanish AB-212 helicopter fast ropes Tunishian Sailors down to Spanish ship SPS Contramaestre Casado (A01) to conduct Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO) as part of Phoenix Express 2007. The two-week long exercise is focused on developing increased maritime domain awareness, better information sharing practices, and the ability to operate jointly. Le marin tunisien a été tranféré sur la frégate Allemande F220 Hamburg pour le traiter de son appendicite.

Il s'agit d'une frégate anti-aérienne assez bien équipé et moderne. La FGS Hamburg (F220) à été mise sur cale chez Howaldtswerke à Kiel le 1er septembre 2000, lancée le 2 août 2002 et admise au service actif le 13 décembre 2004. Image

أدى السيد عبد الكريم الزبيدي، وزير الدفاع الوطني، صباح يوم الثلاثاء 05 أفريل 2011 زيارة للأكاديمية البحرية بمنزل بورقيبة، واستمع بالمناسبة إلى عرض حول الهيكل التنظيمي لهذه المؤسسة التكوينية العسكرية العليا ووظيفتها ومناهج التدريس بها ومساهمتها في تأمين تكوين الكفاءات في اختصاص البحرية الوطنية والبحرية التجارية، فضلا عن آفاقها في مجال دعم البنى الأساسية وتعزيز التجهيزات والمعدات العلمية والبيداغوجية والرفع من طاقة الاستيعاب وتنويع شعب التكوين بها

وعبّر وزير الدفاع الوطني عن ارتياحه لما بلغته هذه المؤسسة من مستوى علمي رفيع ارتقى إلى المعايير الدولية حاثا القائمين عليها على مزيد بذل الجهد حتى تؤدي وظيفتها التكوينية والعلمية على الوجه الأكمل وتحقق أهدافها. كما أكد أن الوزارة حريصة على تطوير هذه المؤسسة على غرار نظيراتها العسكرية وتوفير حاجياتها

وطاف الوزير عبر مختلف أقسام الأكاديمية البحرية ومخابرها متعرفا على الطرق البيداغوجية والعلمية المعتمدة في تكوين التلامذة الضباط

Le Service des Phares et Balises est rattaché au Ministère de la Défense Nationale.
Le service des phares et balises est appelé à:
Assurer la signalisation maritime des côtes tunisiennes, des rades, des lacs, des plans d’eaux, des chenaux d’accès aux divers ports tunisiens.
Fournir des prestations aux divers organismes nationaux et étrangers contre rémunération.
Veiller à l’installation, au bon fonctionnement et à l’entretien des Établissements de Signalisations Maritimes (ESM) fixes et flottants qui sont environs 600 réparties sur les 1300 Km des côtes Tunisiennes.

AFRICOM Veteran's Day


TUNIS, Tunisia - Vice Admiral Harry B. Harris Jr., commander of the U.S. 6th Fleet, greets Tunisian sailors before meeting with the Tunisian chief of naval operations during his visit to Tunisia for a Veteran's Day wreath-laying ceremony honoring American veterans at the North Africa American Cemetery, November 10, 2010. The North Africa American Cemetery is one of 24 American cemeteries on foreign soil and covers 27 acres of land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Bay of Tunis. Established in 1948, the cemetery holds the graves of 2,841 service members who died while serving during the World War II North Africa campaign.
